The Mill Museum relies on generous support from the community. Please use this page to donate objects to the Museum’s collection of historic artifacts, make in-kind donations, donate to our Annual Appeal, or make other monetary donations.

Artifacts

The Mill Museum accepts historical artifacts that are related to our mission, to preserve the history of Connecticut textiles and textile towns, and make our displays and demonstrations more authentic. 

If you have items that you would like to donate to our collection, please contact archives@millmuseum.org and we will get back to you.

Please do not drop anything off at the museum without an appointment.

  • Clean manila file folders

  • Menus from area restaurants to update our visitors’ book

  • British and Canadian flags measuring 35 x 54 inches for use outside the building and in parades

  • White or holiday tissue paper

Annual Appeal & Other Monetary Donations

The Mill Museum is a 401(c)3 nonprofit corporation, so your donation may be tax deductible. Donations are welcome anytime, including the Museum’s Annual Appeal in November and December. You can read the 2024 Annual Appeal brochure here.

Don’t forget to enclose a an annual appeal form, a note, or a notation on the memo line of the check.
